AllStarJR and the Art of HIS Storytelling
The Detroit MC after a long, but well recovery is back with his album Organized Crime 2, his world through his eyes.
With a hot streak of singles going into the album that are, but aren’t limited to The Other Side, MMA with Babytron, rapping over Jack Harlow and Drake’s Churchill Downs and more JR shows his supreme trait of flexing how versatile his pen is in tandem with talking his shit.
Throughout the album we get a look at JR’s life since the shooting that landed him in the hospital. But, the rapper is back and better than ever delivering high level raps over the skilled sampling and production he usually picks.
The album starts off with Critical 2 Stable, obviously a allusion to JR’s injuries that had him out of commission for quite sometime, but he’s here now. JR provides excellent storytelling, introspectiveness and a analyzing of his world on this LP. ‘’Die’’ being an analysis of how fragile life can be and how quick it can end. Million Dolla Thoughts 2 being a look at how far JR has came and what’s to come, and 2AM in Houston being a track flexing his muscles.
Organized Crime 2 is a excellent sequel to its predecessor from 2018 and most importantly another reasons on a longer list of why JR belongs in all top rap artist conversations, especially for his city of Detroit.
