Future and Metro show the power of the rap blockbuster done right.

With fans asking more from mainstream rap these past couple of years, Future and Metro Boomin execute a solid double feature with their first album and an even better one with the 2nd. With talks about the ‘’death of hip-hop’’ the duo comes back to show why they are two of the best at what they do.

With the first album being a return to form and the first full blown collaboration from the two in a while they set the tone with an eye-grabbing rollout. With maximizing hidden features and taking inspiration from what seems all Future eras they give fans and listeners a memorable experience. Of course, the Kendrick guest feature and controversy running up plays even more. Songs like Ain’t No Love take us back to the Beast Mode days and Fried (She a Vibe) giving modernized reminders of Pluto 3D.

We Still Don’t Trust You was already rumored to be something similar to HNDRXX and the public was correct. Future’s takes on love and a Metro with something to prove come together with a beautiful effort with some very well sampled R&B hits. A great album for the most part with sometimes where Future steps out his comfort zone a little too much in terms of singing throughout the first Disc.

Disc 2 offers that nostalgic feeling of mixtape Future where he firing on all cylinders. Although A$AP Rocky kills the moment with a choppy verse. this is the Future that pretty much everyone knows and loves.

The Atlanta duo shows the world how to maximize their music and make albums into moments and has fans wanting more.
