Drawing the Line.
With the looming writers’ strike of Hollywood, the threat of AI to the music industry, and art dealing with AI as well..mediums are in a difficult place.
Throughout all mediums and just life in general the impact of art cannot be understated, but what makes art so special should be brought to the forefront.
The worst and best aspects of life and art all lie within the human element. The value of connection whether if it’s viewing a piece, watching a film, listening to an album or even discussing these things with people all provide spaces to feel.
The golden question is how do you quantify something that’s unquantifiable?
The root cause of so many of these things is due to the root of devaluing humanities, history and writing. When the totem pole shifts on what people is viewed as essential, which in this case art, everything goes left. And the root cause of it all is simply greed.
Due to the negative stigmas around wanting to be a musician, or a filmmaker or simply an artist, these things are viewed as easy. And are also viewed as replaceable.
In reality, every single thing we love about art, and life revolves around the human element. The beauty revolves around the connections we make, and to trivialize that is indescribably evil.
When you hear a song, and you relate to it, what makes it great and special is the fact someone used their own creativity, their own mind, a extension of themselves to make it.
The same argument can be applied anywhere.
The world has to stop devaluing the power of connection. The power of simply being human, something that cannot be replicated.
